Online Invites

I’m always looking for an excuse to have a party. Now that work is not so nuts and there are no travel plans in the near future, the boyfriend and I are finally throwing our housewarming party! It’s been five months since we moved in so it’s about time we invite our friends over to help us properly break in the place.

We’re in the process of creating the guest list and the next step is to send out the invites. Because this isn’t a formal party, I felt an eVite would be just fine. I’ve done some research and found a few sites that offer cute and trendy online invitations:
  1. Paperless Post is my favorite. They have the best designs and the site is easy to navigate. The invites are fully customizable, but one downfall is you have to pay for the invites. However, they are pretty cheap ($4 for 20 invites) and the site even starts you off with credits.
  2. Pingg is great because they offer a number of free designs. The site allows you to upload your own image, which helps add a bit of personalization. Pingg also offers a convenient service for users to send invitations via the web, email, snail mail, Facebook, Twitter, or text message.
  3. eVite is definitely the most user-friendly online invitation service. Their designs are simple and basic, but customizable. The RSVP feature makes it easy for attendees to respond and for hosts to keep track of the guestlist.
With the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games just 10 days away, I think it’s a great excuse to have a celebration! What parties do you have coming up?
